satchmos-link-ticketIt is our pleasure to invite you to Satchmo’s Jazz and Culture Festival, Lagos (SJL) which will be held from 27th April, 2016 to 1st May, 2016.

This year, SJL becomes much more than a jazz music festival. We have created an exciting tapestry of entertaining events including festive threads of jazz (and nu-jazz) music, as well as jazz-inspired visual, and literary artists. A picnic, boat cruise, jazz inspired filming, food, drinks, fun and the full works of festivities are to be expected.

SJL also has the mandate of UNESCO IJD to produce the International Jazz Day event in Nigeria, for the second year running. The event, expected to be the highlight of the festival – which encourages interaction between art, business and culture while providing non-stop excitement for all age groups – will be an exhilarating and magical experience, and it will hold at various locations including

  • Kick off Jazz in partnership with Industry Nite at The Oriental Hotel V.I ( Wednesday 27th April, 2016) from 7pm
  • The Blowfish Hotel; Poolside live music & floetry ( Thursday 28TH April, 2016) from 7pm

Every year on April 30, this international art form is recognized for promoting peace, dialogue among cultures, diversity, and respect for human dignity, eradicating discrimination, fostering gender equality, and promoting individual expression.
